This chair, commissioned by James Madison's Montpelier, is a simple winged back chair consisting of an upholstered poplar frame and finished walnut legs. The upholstery by Casagrande Upholstery, located in Luthersburg, PA, is completely hand stitched following traditional techniques. The chair features a pair of separate plaid covers to be rotated for laundry purposes.
